KDE is now close to releasing the Next Generation Linux Desktop. Technically, it is a very interesting project, where many innovative technologies are brought together. We have high hopes about the future, as this will make the creation and invention of new things possible. But the last few months, the KDE community has focused on finishing the user interface and ensuring it's stability and usability. We introduced new themes and cleaned up the interface of many applications, while simultaneously starting to take advantage of the many new technologies in KDE 4. And even though we barely scratched the surface of what will be possible, there is already much to see. This presentation acts as a visual tour through KDE 4, where I will try to show what's new and improved.
